"Boiling With Ice" Video Demonstration

Submitted by admin on 13 December, 2005 - 7:43pm. Categories: Files: Lesson Plans, Videos | Thermal Properties of Matter

Created by Akmal and Yingjie for our Physics Continual Assessment Task. We demonstrated a flask of water boiling by rubbing it with ice.

The file is quite large, so download it only if you have a broadband connection and you are willing to wait around 15 - 60 minutes. Otherwise, you can always contact either of us to get a copy of this video by other means.

I wrongly based it on the upload speed rather than download speed. So it is rather fast :) But that does not explain why my downloads of the daily backup files of around 60-70MB take so long though. Strange. Anyway, I've changed the timing above :) Still made it rather conservative.

Actually, it takes barely 7 minutes on my Starhub 2Mbps connection...

One problem, though, is that my browser tries to stream the video instead of downloading. You might want to right-click the file and "Save As" if you want to keep it (and also to preserve our bandwidth!).
